Ugh, this is stupid. Jan Brewer and the rest of AZ government are not gonna give a shit if bands boycott Arizona. So this makes no sense. The bands aren’t sending any message to Arizona government, they’re sending it to their fans.
I was just telling my husband that I think these bands would be better off organizing a huge festival in Arizona to spread awareness and encourage a repeal of the law. I don’t think it’s fair that the fans, who did NOT vote for this law in the first place, to be penalized just because Arizona’s government is once again being racist. (If anyone remembers the whole MLK controversy, it’s just history repeating itself.)
